On Things
Eternal
Mississippi, Migration, and Memory-Keeping
by Raja'Nee Hamilton
Chicago's migration story is written in the faces of families who came north from Mississippi, settled on the South and West Sides, and built lives that the history books rarely stopped to document.
On Things Eternal follows one family across generations through their great migration to making home in Chicago. The interior lives and the milestone moments, what they gained and what they lost. Everyday people who aren't deemed important enough for archival institutions, but legendary all the same.
